Chemistry Major, BS

Calvin University’s BS in chemistry gives students the scientific knowledge and research skills to compete for jobs in the field of chemistry or biochemistry or to pursue an advanced degree in health, medicine, or science. The program provides a broad and rigorous foundation in the field of chemistry, then offers additional courses to tailor the program to the student’s specific interests. For students interested in the following areas, we recommend completing sets of four courses:

• Computational Modeling: CHEM 353 , CHEM 372 , CHEM 373 , and BCHM 324 
• Work in Industry: CHEM 311 , CHEM 341 , CHEM 371 , and CHEM 372
