EDUC 359 - Student Teaching Seminar (4) FA, SP. Taking an interdisciplinary perspective, students will consider the question, “What contributes to flourishing in learning communities?,” particularly when faced with a contemporary challenge. Pulling from experiences in their full-time internship in a P-12 classroom, previous program coursework, research, and personal inquiries, students will select a challenge that transpires in their assigned placement. They will consider how self, context and the core aspects of teaching (pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, and classroom management) along with a Reformed Christian worldview inform their response and engage practice in ways that foster greater flourishing for all. Prerequisite(s): an overall GPA of 2.5, Internship I (EDUC 308 ; or EDUC 315 , EDUC 350 , MATH 324 , and SCES 310 ), and recommendation of the Internship I supervisors. Corequisite(s): EDUC 346 .
