EDUC 399 - Philosophy of Education (2) FA, SP. Students examine education in its context as a life practice. It involves inquiry into and critique of the philosophical assumptions, historical developments, and social settings that shape the beliefs and practices informing schools as social institutions and education as a cultural practice. Throughout the course, students are developing their own faith-based philosophy of education. Prerequisite(s): junior or senior standing, EDUC 240 , and Internship I (EDUC 308 ; or EDUC 315 , EDUC 350 , MATH 324 , and SCES 310 ).
