FA, SP. This internship provides field-based learning through a part-time placement in a grade 5-12 classroom. With the supervision of a faculty member and a master teacher, interns develop their understanding and performance of the knowledge, skills and dispositions expected of 5th- to 12th-grade educators. Individual observations, mentoring, and coursework aide interns in developing as professionals. Varied frameworks and tools are used throughout the internship to assess readiness for the professional field. A grade of C or higher along with the recommendation of the course instructor are required to continue in the education program. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 103, EDUC 240, EDUC 241, and EDUC 243. Corequisite(s): EDUC 307.
