FA, SP. This course invites students to explore the discipline of education and the teaching profession. Students will experience various types of schools and other educational settings through visits, interviews, and virtual connections with elementary and secondary students and staff locally and around the world. Students will reflect on these experiences in writing, group discussions, chats, video, and other platforms. The course provides the initial framework for subsequent education courses and clinical experiences, introducing students to primary issues and components of schools as well as engaging them in Christian practices for teaching in various settings.
