The Data Science program prepares a student to be a “Big Data” practitioner by learning how to extract new insights from large volumes of data. The program is an interdisciplinary mix of Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics and Statistics, plus a domain area (chosen by the student) in which the student can apply his or her computational and statistical skills.
