SPAN 307 - Engaging Hispanic Culture in Place

WI, SU, as needed. In this course students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a Spanish-speaking region. They will have conversations with Spanish speakers in place and will visit a variety of sites of historical and cultural importance. Students will experience the dynamics of family life and through conversations grow in their intercultural competence and intelligence. Students will discuss a variety of issues from a posture of cultural humility and reflect on the spiritual perspectives of their own culture by looking at the expressions of Christian faith and spirituality in place. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 306 or permission of the program director.
