EDUC 250 - Social Studies Inquiry

FA, SP. Students consider how to teach the social studies through inquiry, with a special emphasis on children Pre-K through grade 6. Knowledge development will focus primarily on the geographic, sociocultural, global, and political threads of the social studies. The inquiry process will be modeled with an exploration of a global region. Participants will develop their skills in core teaching practices. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 243 (may be taken concurrently) and any 200-level history class taken for Humanities Core.
