FA, SP. Students learn from an array of hands-on activities that span Earth systems topics and geoscience professions. Topics include mineral and rock identification, topographic maps, water resources, natural hazards such as earthquakes, Earth-sun relationships, temperature patterns, local weather, and climate patterns. Corequisite(s): GEO 120. Lab fee: $125.
