FA, SP. Candidates learn how to design and enact a range of instructional strategies and routines to support students in becoming skillful and engaged readers across subject areas. Candidates also learn the principles and strategies for effective vocabulary instruction and how to assess writing. This course includes a 20-hour practicum where candidates create lessons and assessments for the teaching of reading comprehension and writing. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 103; and EDUC 241 (may be taken concurrently).
