SOC 380 - Internship in Sociology (4) SP. This course will provide an integrative context for sociology majors with respect to sociological practice or research in a subfield of interest to the student (e.g., cross-cultural studies, urban studies, criminology, family studies). Students will learn about an area of professional service as it relates to sociological theory, research, community characteristics and needs, professional standards, and being an effective agent of renewal. This internship will build upon previous learning in the major and provide a bridge between prior learning and graduate study and/or employment following graduation. Prerequisite(s): Prerequisites: Senior sociology major, completion of SOC 151 , SOC 255 , and completion of or concurrent registration in SOC 351 and SOC 355 .
