ENGR 311 - Electronic Devices and Circuits (4) FA. A study of the characteristics and qualitative internal action of commonly used micro-electronic devices for discrete and integrated circuits, such as diodes, metal-oxide semi-conductors FETs (MOSFETS), and bipolar junction transistors (BJTs). Application of these devices in basic amplifier circuits is explored. Laboratory exercises are used to illustrate concepts. Prerequisites: ENGR 204 and MATH 231 .
