Data Science in Context, Graduate Certificate

Along with technical skills in creating, assessing, and interpreting statistical and machine learning models, the data science community needs people who can think well about the context in which these analyses are performed. This certificate prepares students to think about contextual issues like data science ethics, how results are presented, when and how we can infer causal relationships, and how data and decisions made using data impact organizations and other stakeholders.
