The bachelor of science (BS) in economics program provides students with thorough training in both theoretical and empirical approaches to understanding issues such as unemployment, inflation, taxes, healthcare, poverty, inequality, pollution, crime, and international trade. It is specifically designed for students who want experience in quantitative analysis for their future careers and for those who plan to attend graduate school in economics, finance, or related fields. The program focuses on equipping students with quantitative skills required to address contemporary economic problems. The BS in economics degree is a STEM-designated degree program and provides international students with three years of optional practical training (OPT).
