Calvin’s online public and nonprofit administration (MPA) program helps students to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills across a variety of fields, equipping them to serve as well-informed, generous, and transformational leaders in a world that longs for individual and community flourishing. The program brings together learners from government, for-profit, and nonprofit entities (including faith-based organizations), exploring interplay among such entities in the provision of public services.

In total, the MPA program requires the completion of 36 semester hours of coursework. Requirements include 18 semester hours of core coursework, 12 semester hours of coursework within a specified concentration, and 6 semester hours of electives selected from MPA-approved graduate courses offered at Calvin. Concentrations include State and Local Government Administration , Nonprofit Administration and Community Engagement Organizational Leadership , and Spatial Analysis.

Students also may select from one of two certificate programs (13–16 semester hours): Public Administration  and Nonprofit Administration . Students who complete a certificate program may apply their coursework toward subsequent completion of the master’s program.
