Politics, Philosophy, and Economics Major, BA
The PPE major provides a coherent and flexible interdisciplinary course of study, bridging gaps between economics and political science as social sciences and philosophy as one of the humanities. It is designed for students whose interests do not fit neatly into any one of the three disciplines, helping them to bring philosophical insights to bear on empirical social science research and use social science methods to measure philosophical claims about foundational concepts, such as equality and justice. The program works with these three disciplines within the framework of faith, emphasizing Christian calling and vocation and a demonstrated commitment to civil and informed public discourse and policy. The program provides structure within this flexibility through foundational and intermediate courses in each of the disciplines, a capstone course that integrates all three PPE disciplines and Christian faith, and common cocurricular experiences throughout the program.
Overlap Policy
