Human resource management (HRM) is the field of study responsible for helping organizations achieve excellence in areas related to their people. Individuals in HRM are responsible for employee acquisition, employee relations and development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, as well as succession planning and government compliance. HRM practices directly impact a business’s most valuable resource: its people.
For entry into 300-level courses in the human resource management major, students must achieve at least a C in BUS 201 and ACCT 203 .
Overlap Policy
This program may not be combined with the business minor program. No more than two majors from the School of Business may be obtained.
