International Relations Major

The International Relations major exposes students to the theory and practice of global politics, developing capacities for analyzing international institutions and the global economy, advocating for human rights, and resolving conflicts from a Christian perspective. Whether at home or abroad, students will be professionally prepared for careers ranging from diplomacy, international law, and international business, to non-profit humanitarian work.

American Politics
Choose one of the following courses: Comparative Politics
Choose one of the following courses: Research Methods
Choose one of the following courses: Political Theory
Choose one of the following courses: Electives
Choose nine additional hours of political science coursework, which must include at least one 300-level course and may include up to three hours of internship credit.
Cognates
There are three ways to satisfy the cognates requirement: (1) complete three of the courses listed below, (2) complete an approved off-campus program, or (3) complete nine credits of a foreign language beyond the 202 level. Students who complete an approved off-campus program also may count up to three hours of the program’s coursework toward the regular course requirements of the major. |
