Computer Science Plus, BS

The Computer Science Plus is intended for the student whose primary interest is in Computer Science, but who wishes to apply computation to other academic areas (e.g., business, mathematics, language or philosophy). It is a full bachelor of science (BS) degree in CS that shares most of its courses with the BCS degree, but it also provides flexibility by requiring fewer courses.

Program Requirements
A minimum grade of C (2.0) is needed in CS 212 , CS 214 , CS 232 , or CS 262 for admission to this concentration. CS Plus majors are strongly encouraged to pursue an internship or a senior project that combines their interests in CS and their domain area. Two from
Students may count multiple sections of CS 300 as different advanced electives in their computer science programs, provided those sections address differen topics.

Students in this concentration must also complete at least 12 hours of study from the same department (or forming a cohesive body of study, with departmental approval), at least 3 of which must be at the 300 level.
