Program Requirements

• GERM 301 - Advanced German Language and Culture
• GERM 303 - Introduction to German Literature
• GERM 361 - Advanced Writing in Cultural Context
• GERM 362 - Culture and Language through Performed Texts
• GERM 371 - German Visual Culture and Literature
• four electives (at least 12 hrs) 302 or higher, one of which may be the German Interim Abroad

• IDIS 357 - Introduction to Secondary World-Languages Pedagogy (secondary)

Note: German education majors must participate in an abroad experience in a German- speaking country. The German Interim Abroad can meet this requirement, though a semester abroad program or summer work or internship program are highly recommended in addition.
