Language arts elementary group majors will be allowed ONE exemption from the prerequisite of ENGL 295 in order for them to take either ENGL 340 or ENGL 341 . If they wish to take both of these courses or any other 300-level literature course, they will be required also to take ENGL 295 . Elementary Education students generally will also be allowed this one exemption, but they too must take ENGL 295 if they wish to take a second 300-level literature course.
