Courses listed under the science education studies (SCES) department are open to all Calvin students meeting course prerequisites. Students seeking certification to teach science at the high-school level must complete the science education major (plus all 7–12 Grade Band education program requirements). Certification to teach science in middle school requires completion of either the science education minor or the major (plus all 5–9 Grade Band education program requirements).
