FA, as needed. An introduction to how disciplines in the humanities—art and music, history, philosophy, literature, and writing—invite us to a deeper understanding of human flourishing. The two interdisciplinary courses are taken in sequence over a full year and are unified by themes such as vocation, citizenship, diversity, and justice. This course introduces students to the features of disciplinary study in the humanities. Course themes may vary across sequences; students may take a sequence more than once but not on the same theme.
