WI. This course will focus on gaining a deeper understanding of oneself within a cross-cultural context in Puerto Rico. It will be especially relevant for those entering the helping professions, where it’s imperative to know oneself in order to care well for others and to engage in healthy and sustainable ways in God’s kingdom work. The purpose is to help students with self-reflection within a cross-cultural context. The learning will be accomplished through readings, guest lecturers, personality assessments, personal intercultural development plans, group processing and discussions, journaling and engagement in cross-cultural activities, and experiences in both rural and urban settings.
