FA. This internship provides field-based learning through a part-time placement in a grade 6-12 classroom. With the supervision of a faculty member and a master teacher, interns develop their understanding and performance of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions expected of 6th- to 12th-grade educators. Individual observations, mentoring, and coursework aide interns in developing as professionals. Varied frameworks and tools are used throughout the internship to assess readiness for the professional field. Students will complete a project tailored to their disciplinary interests. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 103, EDUC 240, and EDUC 243. Corequisite(s): EDUC 507.
