FA, SP. Design Thinking is about learning processes and techniques to generate valuable insights into the needs of users, the environment and society as a whole and to use those insights to develop ideas and a variety of ways to better meet those needs through innovative products, services and programs that seek to make things better. Research techniques such as observation, interviewing and immersive empathy along with methods to prototype, test and quickly iterate ideas will be covered. The ethics of the design research techniques and the human-centered design approaches will also be explored.
