This course examines contemporary issues in comparative politics, rooted in specific regions of the world (e.g., sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia, Latin America, Europe), in terms of their historical development, cultural manifestation, and effects on political systems. Typically, this course will focus on religion and politics or women and politics in specific global regions.
