RFLA 112 - Social Thinking and Digital Life

SP, every fourth year. Students will learn that what happens around us influences our thoughts, feelings, reactions, and responses. Using social mapping and strategies to manage social stressors, students will gain the skills needed to better navigate the social world, communicate with one another, and develop stronger social competencies. Additionally, students will focus on digital communication skills, including use of cell phones, text, social media, and email, as tools for advocacy and growing positive relationships. They will identify and apply practices for safe, positive, and effective digital communication for navigating a complex social world. Prerequisite(s): admission to the Life and Career Studies program or permission from the dean of education.
