The Practice of Discipleship is a designed to introduce students to the grand vision of God’s Mission and the implications for embodied discipleship. Attention will be given to vital biblical themes which give shape to the day to day and personal acts of discipleship. Students will learn about the grand narrative of God’s Mission, important theological concepts such as covenant, shalom, the biblical use of power, discipleship and Jesus’ teaching on many of these issues. Additionally, students will engage in spiritual disciplines including internal and external practices. Finally, students will grow to better understand the interconnectedness and vital relationship between individual acts of discipleship and the contribution which these make to the overall mission of God in our world.
