FA, SP. The Gospel of John is often called the “maverick” gospel because it is so different from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Students work their way carefully through the Gospel, all along engaging its communal setting, literary artistry, and theological originality. Students also explore the short epistles of 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John. Prerequisite(s): Foundations of Christianity I or appropriate transfer credit.
