FA, SP. This course studies the Old Testament prophetic books, focusing on Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, and selected shorter prophetic books (e.g., Hosea, Amos, Haggai, Malachi). Students analyze the books in the political, social, and cultural context of ancient Israel, explicate their theological message, and explore their relevance today. Prerequisite(s): Foundations of Christianity I or appropriate transfer credit. Not offered in 2025-26.
