REL 211 - From Creation to Promised Land

FA, SP. A study of the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Students analyze the accounts of creation, the fall, the promises to Israel’s ancestors, the exodus from Egypt, the giving of the Law, and Israel’s journey into the promised land. Students also explore several theological themes including God’s plan for the world, God’s covenantal relationship with the chosen people, and God’s activities in historical events. Prerequisite(s): Foundations of Christianity I or appropriate transfer credit. Not offered in 2025-26.
