RECR 326 - Intervention Techniques in Therapeutic Recreation

SP, alternate years. This course is designed to help students develop knowledge of various usable treatment modalities as well as clinical skills for delivery of therapeutic recreation interventions. Students will gain theoretical and practical tools in areas such as therapeutic approaches, specific interventions and processing skills that influence the clinical practice of therapeutic recreation.  Students will also learn how to create and carry out treatment/intervention plans by incorporating disabling conditions with specific activities, as well as develop a knowledge for the importance of evidence-based practice. Prerequisite(s): KIN 201  or permission of the instructor.
