RECR 312 - Special Topics in Recreation and Leisure Studies

(2)
This course will provide a format to investigate relevant topics that are not sufficiently covered in the core recreation curriculum. Given the broad range of topics within the recreation profession, a rotating curriculum enables students to study various issues in greater detail. Topics may include: 1) Alternative (i.e., volunteer, community-based) travel and tourism, 2) Wilderness and Adventure Education, and 3) Social Entrepreneurship. Topics will rotate, and the course will be offered every other year. This course is a requirement for Recreation majors. Prerequisite(s): sophomore status.
