SP, alternate years. This course provides a general orientation to therapeutic recreation and its role in serving the needs of diverse diagnostic groups. The etiology, characteristics, and considerations for treatment of a wide range of common diseases and disorders are reviewed and discussed. Practical applications and adaptations for serving the functional and health needs of persons with disabilities will be made. Prerequisite(s): KIN 201.
