EDUC 236 - Foundations of Early Childhood Education

SP, alternate years. This course addresses theories of child development and applications within the natural or preschool learning environments. Students will explore foundations of early childhood education practices, including observational research techniques, classroom or natural environment observation of children from birth through kindergarten, and writing developmental assessment reports. Twenty hours of field experience outside of the classroom are required. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 103  (may be taken concurrently).
