FA, SP. An introduction to the content, styles, structure, and format of screenplays. The course emphasizes the role of the screenplay as text in screen storytelling, the styles of writing used, and the technical requirements for screenplays used to focus the work of directors, actors, camera, and sound technicians, editors and mixers in creating a media product. Prerequisite(s): COMM 145, COMM 190, and ENGL 101; or permission of the instructor.
