COMM 141 - Visual Rhetoric (2) SP. In this course, we will learn both how to “read” and create images that persuade others. We will study the strengths and weaknesses of both images and words; using that knowledge, we can better analyze and create messages that use both visual and written rhetoric. We also will examine the ethical responsibility of both viewers and creators of images so that we are truthful, respectful, and fair in our practices. Building on this knowledge, we will finish the course with students creating intentional, ethical persuasive messages adapted to a well-defined target audience.
