This course addresses a variety of advanced topics that are important in contemporary biological disciplines (e.g., detailed study of specific taxonomic groups, emerging fields of biological inquiry, and more). Lectures, discussions, readings, and laboratory/field studies provide students with advanced conceptual knowledge and practical experiences that develop important vocational skills. Course work centers around scientific literature, investigation, and communication.
