FA, alternate years. ARTH 121 introduces students to some of the most notable objects, images, and buildings produced in Europe, Asia, and Africa from around 1250 to 1400. About two-thirds of the course will address Europe, with a third given to Asia and Africa. Religion and its cultural expressions anchor the content, though the course also considers court cultures, luxury goods, and international exchange. Not offered in 2024-25.
