FA, SP. The internship in public health is designed to combine theoretical insights and research methods of public health with applied work experiences. Your internship includes: work experience in a professional setting, critical reflection and seminar discussions. The overall objective is to introduce you to a type of professional activity as it relates to issues of public health theory, research, client characteristics and needs, professional standards, Christian discipleship and calling. The internship should also provide a valuable opportunity for career exploration and preparation. This course fulfills one of your 300-level Public Health major electives. Prerequisite(s): junior or senior standing, permission of the instructor, and completion of at least five courses in the major.
