PUBH 380 - Internship in Public Health (4) FA, SP. The internship in public health is designed to combine theoretical insights and research methods of public health with applied work experiences. Your internship includes: work experience in a professional setting, critical reflection and seminar discussions. The overall objective is to introduce you to a type of professional activity as it relates to issues of public health theory, research, client characteristics and needs, professional standards, Christian discipleship and calling. The internship should also provide a valuable opportunity for career exploration and preparation. This course fulfills one of your 300-level Public Health major electives. Prerequisite(s): junior or senior standing, permission of the instructor, and completion of at least five courses in the major.
