MATH 380 - Perspectives on Modern Mathematics (4) SP, alternate years. This course explores the historical development of some of the basic concepts of modern mathematics. It includes an examination of significant issues and controversies, philosophical perspectives, and problems on which mathematicians have focused throughout history. Prerequisite(s): two MATH courses numbered 231 or above.
