FA, SP. Sustainability seeks to serve the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This course examines the challenges to that goal in each of the three areas of sustainability: economic, societal, and environmental. Topics include the biblical basis for sustainability, global energy consumption and carbon emissions, application areas for sustainability, and personal and collective actions.
