Being able to speak well in public also will help you in other courses, student and community groups, and in your church. In this course you will learn the fundamental skills of oral rhetoric—how to create a message strategically adapted for a specific audience (for this semester, your fellow students in this class) and situation. You will also learn how to effectively deliver your speeches and how to be an engaged, thoughtful listener.
