BIOL 399 - Undergraduate Research

FA, SP, SU. Students conduct laboratory, field, and/or literature-based research under the supervision of a faculty member. The project may be part of an ongoing research program of the supervising faculty member. A culminating paper on the project is required. Students taking the course for 4 credits are also encouraged to present a poster or seminar to the department. Permission to enroll must be obtained from the department chair and the faculty member directing the project. Only one from BIOL 385, BIOL 390, or BIOL 399 may be used to satisfy the requirements for the Biology major. Prerequisite(s): instructor permission.
