BIOL 321 - Genetics and Development (3) SP. How do we explain the vast diversity in form and function between species? How do we explain variations, including genetic diseases, observed within the human population? Neither question can be addressed effectively without an understanding of genetics and development. This course examines the nature of biological inheritance and the genetic bases of development with a particular emphasis on human genetics. Learning activities will focus on understanding the genetic material and its expression, and will include lectures, problem-solving, and class discussions of scientific papers. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 141 or BIOL 161 . Corequisite(s): BIOL 321L .
