FA. Students will examine the nature and function of literacy in the secondary content curriculum. Specifically, this course will examine the reading and writing skills and practices that support the ways of knowing and doing characteristic of secondary school subject areas. All of these areas will be examined through the lens of a reformed Christian perspective. An extensive practicum (EDUC 508) will assist students in linking theory and practice in a classroom setting. Students will complete a project tailored to their disciplinary interests. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 103. Corequisite(s): EDUC 508.
