FA, alternate years. ARTH 133 introduces some of the most notable paintings, prints, and decorative arts produced in Europe from 1700 to 1900. The rise of new public audiences for art, alongside traditional court structures, is a central concern. Gender and the status of women artists are also important themes. Not offered in 2023-24.
