FA. An introductory course in the German language and cultures that includes an investigation of German-speaking countries and training in intercultural skills. The course serves as the first course in a sequence for students with no prior knowledge of German. Students taking GERM 101 continue with GERM 102 in the spring followed by GERM 201 the next fall and GERM 202 the following spring.
