FA, as needed. For students who have had only one year of high school Latin or no Latin at all. This course will teach students the essentials of grammar and a basic vocabulary, and an appreciation of the Latin language, its literature, and its importance in today’s culture. Sententiae from the principal Latin authors will be read. Offered upon sufficient demand; interested students should contact the Historical Studies department chair. Not offered in 2023-24.
